March came and flew by. Can you beleive it’s April already? This month, we had a great time getting ready for the Home and Garden Show and really enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new people along the way. We’re so thankful for the support from our customers, friends, family, and community.

We also had the chance to work on some great projects this month, including a beautiful garage door upgrade in Snoqualmie Pass and a really impressive high-lift door in Ellensburg. It’s always rewarding to help homeowners improve their homes in ways that are both practical and beautiful. 

Believe it or not, April is here and spring is getting underway. It’s a great time to think about garage door maintenance and updates. After a long winter, a little attention can make a big difference in keeping your door working safely and smoothly.

Spring Maintenance Tips for Homeowners

As we head into spring, it’s a good time to give your garage door a little attention after the wear and tear of winter. There are a few simple things homeowners can safely keep an eye on, but it’s important to remember that garage doors have heavy moving parts under a lot of tension. If something looks off, always put safety first and leave the work to a trained professional.

1. Check for visible wear

Take a quick look at the rollers, hinges, tracks, and other visible parts for rust, damage, or anything that seems loose. If you notice broken parts or anything unusual, do not try to force the door. Garage door springs and other tension components can be extremely dangerous, and repairs should always be left to trained professionals to avoid serious injury.

2. Clear out debris

Leaves, dirt, and buildup can collect around the tracks over time. Keeping the area clean can help your door run more smoothly, but avoid taking apart or adjusting any hardware yourself.

3. Pay attention to how the door moves

If your garage door seems noisy, uneven, or slower than usual, that can be a sign something is not working the way it should.

4. Check the weather seal

Spring is a great time to check the bottom seal and weather stripping around your garage door. If it’s cracked, worn, or pulling away, it may be time for replacement to help keep out moisture, dirt, and pests. With the wide range of weather we see here in Central Washington, keeping those seals in good shape can make a real difference.

January kicked off the new year at Davis Garage Doors in a really great way, getting right back to what we enjoy most, helping homeowners transform their spaces. A new year always feels like a fresh start, and there is something special about pulling into your driveway and seeing a garage door that truly fits your home.

This month, we worked on a mix of garage door upgrades and new construction projects throughout Central Washington.

As December comes to an end, so does another year for Davis Garage Doors, and it’s hard not to look back with a lot of gratitude. 2025 was filled with great projects, beautiful new builds, and garage door installs we’re truly proud of. Getting to be part of so many homes across Central Washington is something we don’t take lightly.

None of it would be possible without our customers. The homeowners, builders, and families who trusted us with their projects and supported our work throughout the year are what keep us motivated and doing what we love every day.

A Look Back at Our December 2025 Projects

The Haas color turned out beautifully on this project creating a clean and seamless look for the customer’s new build in Ronald, Washington.

The garage door blends perfectly with the surrounding siding and trim, showing just how impactful a well-matched door color can be on the overall exterior making the door feel like a natural extension of the design, rather than a separate element.
