March came and flew by. Can you beleive it’s April already? This month, we had a great time getting ready for the Home and Garden Show and really enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new people along the way. We’re so thankful for the support from our customers, friends, family, and community.

We also had the chance to work on some great projects this month, including a beautiful garage door upgrade in Snoqualmie Pass and a really impressive high-lift door in Ellensburg. It’s always rewarding to help homeowners improve their homes in ways that are both practical and beautiful.

Spring Maintenance Tips for Homeowners

As we head into spring, it’s a good time to give your garage door a little attention after the wear and tear of winter. There are a few simple things homeowners can safely keep an eye on, but it’s important to remember that garage doors have heavy moving parts under a lot of tension. If something looks off, always put safety first and leave the work to a trained professional.

1. Check for visible wear

Take a quick look at the rollers, hinges, tracks, and other visible parts for rust, damage, or anything that seems loose. If you notice broken parts or anything unusual, do not try to force the door. Garage door springs and other tension components can be extremely dangerous, and repairs should always be left to trained professionals to avoid serious injury.

2. Clear out debris

Leaves, dirt, and buildup can collect around the tracks over time. Keeping the area clean can help your door run more smoothly, but avoid taking apart or adjusting any hardware yourself.

3. Pay attention to how the door moves

If your garage door seems noisy, uneven, or slower than usual, that can be a sign something is not working the way it should.

4. Check the weather seal

Spring is a great time to check the bottom seal and weather stripping around your garage door. If it’s cracked, worn, or pulling away, it may be time for replacement to help keep out moisture, dirt, and pests. January kicked off the new year at Davis Garage Doors in a really great way, getting right back to what we enjoy most, helping homeowners transform their spaces. A new year always feels like a fresh start, and there is something special about pulling into your driveway and seeing a garage door that truly fits your home.

This month, we worked on a mix of garage door upgrades and new construction projects throughout Central Washington.

We are thankful for the homeowners and builders who trusted us with their projects right out of the gate this year. As we continue to grow, our goal stays the same: Making sure the quality of our installs and experience we provide, never slips. The Haas color turned out beautifully on this project creating a clean and seamless look for the customer’s new build in Ronald, Washington.

The garage door blends perfectly with the surrounding siding and trim, showing just how impactful a well-matched door color can be on the overall exterior making the door feel like a natural extension of the design, rather than a separate element. 

December Highlights From Happy Homeowners

2025 Install Highlights

This new double door installation is on a large shop building at a ranch in Ellensburg, WA. The garage doors are Mid America 24 ga commercial ribbed insulated vinyl back garage door with a row of 24″x13″ windows placed in the 3rd section so the customer can see out.

The doors utilize two 14’2″ x 14′ with 38″ of high lifted tracks and one that’s 12’2″ x 12′ with 60″ of high lifted tracks. On the 12′ garage door we have a chain hoist and on the 14′ doors we installed the Liftmaster MJ5011U medium jackshaft operator.

These impressive doors bring new access and functionality to this huge garage/shop structure for easy vehicle access.
