Rodeo Weekend in Ellensburg

If you’re from Ellensburg, you already know Labor Day weekend is a pretty big deal around here.

The Ellensburg Rodeo has been part of the community since 1923, when local ranchers, farmers, business owners, Indigenous families and other community members came together to create an event that celebrated the area’s western roots. More than 100 years later, that original idea is still rolling strong.

For a few days every year, Ellensburg just feels different. Families come back to town, businesses are packed, people line the streets, and you’re guaranteed to run into somebody you know.

Josh and Jenni got to enjoy some of the rodeo festivities with the family this year, and for a business that calls Ellensburg home, it’s one of those weekends that means a little more than just taking a day off work.

It’s tradition, it’s community, and it’s just part of being from Ellensburg.

A Beautiful Finish at Suncadia

There’s something so awesome about coming back and seeing the finished result on a home like this!

These Haas American Tradition doors went into a beautiful home at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, and once everything came together, they fit the house perfectly. Definitely one of those jobs where you stand back for a second and appreciate the finished product.

Taking Care of a Repeat Customer

We always appreciate the customers who continue to call us when they need something done.

This month, Advantage Dirt Contractors in Kittitas had us out for some preventative maintenance on their shop doors. We changed cables on a 16×16 commercial door and got everything back in good shape.

Nothing flashy, just the kind of maintenance that helps keep a busy shop moving. We really appreciate their continued support.

The Difference is in the Door!

We replaced this older garage door in Yakima, and the new door completely changed the look of the front of the home. Garage doors take up a lot of visual space, so swapping one out can make a bigger difference than people realize.

Sometimes the before and after really says it all.

Fall Garage Door Maintenance Tips Before Winter

As colder weather starts settling into Central Washington, fall is a good time to give your garage door a quick once-over before winter really hits. A few simple checks now can help you catch small issues early, but garage doors have heavy moving parts under a lot of tension, so anything beyond a basic visual inspection is best left to a trained professional.

1. Check for visible wear

Take a quick look at the rollers, hinges, tracks, and other visible parts for rust, damage, or anything that seems loose. If you notice broken parts or anything unusual, do not try to force the door. Garage door springs and other tension components can be extremely dangerous, and repairs should always be left to trained professionals to avoid serious injury.

2. Clear out debris

Leaves, dirt, and buildup can collect around the tracks over time. Keeping the area clean can help your door run more smoothly, but avoid taking apart or adjusting any hardware yourself.

3. Pay attention to how the door moves

If your garage door seems noisy, uneven, or slower than usual, that can be a sign something is not working the way it should.

4. Check the weather seal

Fall is a great time to check the bottom seal and weather stripping around your garage door. If it’s cracked, worn, or pulling away, it may be time for replacement to help keep out moisture, dirt, and pests. With the wide range of weather we see here in Central Washington, keeping those seals in good shape can make a real difference.

5. Schedule a professional tune-up with Davis Garage Doors (And yes, this is where we remind you to call Davis Garage Doors)

The safest and smartest thing you can do is have your garage door inspected by a trained technician. Springs, cables, and other key parts can be dangerous to handle without proper experience. If something doesn’t seem right, Davis Garage Doors is just a phone call away and ready to help before a small issue turns into a bigger problem.

New Month, Same Happy Customers

Great customer service

WR

The Davis Garage Door team was exceptional at helping me my door. They were able to repair a dented in panel on a door that isn’t manufactured anymore and parts are made for it any longer. The owner was very helpful and professional. He was sick, but still willing and able to communicate with me via text. His wife and team member came out in less than 24hrs and had the repairs done. I 1000% recommend the Davis Garage door team.!
